'The Bunker' by Fox Resorts
Marked by a defining chapter in Sri Lanka’s history, the grounds of Fox Jaffna once housed strategic wartime bunkers, two of which have been preserved as symbols of remembrance and hope. Today, one has been reimagined as The Bunker, an art gallery hosting Junctures, a contemporary art exhibition presented in collaboration with ARTRA. Running from 3 October to 31 December 2026, the exhibition features works by Jasmine Nilani Joseph, T. Krishnapriya, Kanesh Thabendran and Thavarasa Thajendran, celebrating the creative voices of Jaffna and the wider North. The exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to explore contemporary artistic perspectives and purchase original works, supporting local talent while taking home a meaningful piece of Jaffna’s art scene.
